Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Downgraded to out Monday
Markkanen (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Markkanen has played in five straight games, including two sets of back-to-backs, but he'll be back in street clothes Monday. With Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson (foot), John Collins (back), Collin Sexton (ankle) and Walker Kessler (illness) all out, Utah is going to have to give extra minutes to a group of youngsters against Portland, including Brice Sensabaugh, KJ Martin and Kyle Filipowski.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: Ruled out for Monday
Kessler (illness) will not play Monday against the Trail Blazers.
Kessler was unable to shake his questionable tag for this contest, but he's considered day-to-day. His next chance to play comes Wednesday against the Kings. With Lauri Markkanen (back) also out, Kyle Filipowski could have a big opportunity Monday.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: Under the weather
Kessler is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Portland due to an illness.
Kessler has hauled in 36 rebounds across the Jazz's two games since the All-Star break, but he's currently battling an illness that puts him in jeopardy of missing Monday's game. Kyle Filipowski would likely be inserted into the starting lineup if Kessler is not cleared to play.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Iffy for Monday
Markkanen is questionable for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers due to lower-back soreness.
Markkanen has been dealing with a back issue over the last month, but he has been able to suit up for each of the previous five games. Over that stretch, he has averaged 19.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in 32.0 minutes per contest. If he is ultimately unable to go Monday, Cody Williams and Brice Sensabaugh figure to see increased roles.

Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Will remain sidelined Monday
Clarkson (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Clarkson has been managing a left foot injury that will keep him out of action for a second straight game. With Clarkson and John Collins (back) both out, KJ Martin and Brice Sensabaugh will likely remain in the Jazz's starting lineup Monday. Clarkson's next chance to play will be Wednesday against the Kings.

Jazz's John Collins: Won't play Monday
Collins (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Collins will miss a second consecutive game due to lower-back soreness, and it will be the third time he's sat out of a game since the beginning of February. KJ Martin started in Saturday's win over the Rockets, and he'll likely remain in the starting five Monday due to Collins' absence. Collins will look to return Wednesday against Sacramento.

Jazz's KJ Martin: Scores 11 points Saturday
Martin provided 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes during Saturday's 124-115 victory over the Rockets.
Playing in just his second game for the Jazz since being traded by the 76ers on Feb. 5, Martin was thrust into the starting lineup Saturday due to the absences of Jordan Clarkson (foot) and Collin Sexton (ankle). It was the first time Martin reached double-digit points since Dec. 13, and he was one of six Jazz players to reach that mark in Saturday's win. It remains to be seen whether Martin will stay in Utah's starting five for Monday's game against Portland.

Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Logs double-double vs. Houston
Collier finished with 12 points (4-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-6 FT), four rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday's 124-115 win over the Rockets.
Collier logged his seventh double-double of the regular season Saturday and finished tied with Houston's Jalen Green for most assists in the game. Collier has tallied at least eight assists in each of his last nine outings, and over that span he has averaged 12.3 points, 10.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 31.9 minutes. He's connected on just 27.3 percent of his three-point attempts over that span, which is an area he'll look to improve on over the final stretch of the regular season.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Explodes for 30 points off bench
George contributed 30 points (10-17 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-10 FT), eight rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes during Saturday's 124-115 win over the Rockets.
George helped Utah keep things close by scoring 20 points in the first half of Saturday's contest. The second-year guard finished with 30 points, which was his highest output of the regular season since Nov. 4 when he scored 33 points against the Bulls. George has averaged 18.7 points, 6.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds over 31.6 minutes per game over his last 10 outings.

Jazz's Brice Sensabaugh: Getting start vs. Houston
Sensabaugh is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
Sensabaugh didn't play in Friday's 130-107 loss to the Thunder, but he'll get a start here since the Jazz won't have regular starters such as Collin Sexton (ankle) and John Collins (back) available for the second leg of this back-to-back set. This will be Sensabaugh's second start of the season, and in the previous one he posted eight points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal across 27 minutes in a loss to the Warriors on Jan. 28.

Jazz's KJ Martin: Starting Saturday vs. Houston
Martin is in the Jazz's starting lineup against the Rockets on Saturday, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
Martin was traded by the 76ers to the Jazz on Feb. 5, but it wasn't until Friday's loss against the Thunder that he made his debut for Utah. That was mostly due to a left foot stress reaction that had kept him off the floor since Dec. 23, but he has spent the past couple of weeks getting his conditioning back up NBA-level speed. With Jordan Clarkson (foot) and Collin Sexton (ankle) both out Saturday, head coach Will Hardy has opted to insert Martin into the starting lineup alongside Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler in the frontcourt. Prior to his injury, Martin averaged 6.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.7 blocks over 19.8 minutes per game while shooting 61.6 percent from the field.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Good to go Saturday
Markkanen (back) is available for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports.
Markkanen was listed on the injury report due to lower back soreness, but the 2017 first-round pick has been cleared to play in the second leg of a back-to-back set Saturday. He's averaged 17.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals over 33.4 minutes per game since the beginning of February.

Jazz's John Collins: Out vs. Portland
Collins (back) is out for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports.
Collins will sit out a game for the first time since Feb. 8, but injuries have limited him to just 11 out of a possible 23 games since the beginning of January. His next chance to play will come against the Trail Blazers on Monday.

Jazz's Collin Sexton: Progressing in recovery
The Jazz announced Saturday that Sexton (ankle) has resumed on-court activities and is nearing a return to action but will be re-evaluated early next week.
Sexton hasn't played since Feb. 3 due to a sprained left ankle but should return to action soon. With Jordan Clarkson (foot) also for Saturday's game versus Houston, Keyonte George should continue to receive increased playing time until Sexton is able to suit up.

Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Not playing Saturday
Clarkson has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Rockets due to left plantar fasciitis injury management.
Clarkson logged 19 points in Utah's 130-107 loss to the Thunder on Friday. He's still managing a left foot injury that has caused him to miss 22 games since mid-November, and he'll sit out of the Jazz's second leg of a back-to-back set Saturday. Keyonte George will likely enter the Jazz's starting lineup due to the absences of Clarkson and Collin Sexton (ankle).

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Iffy for Saturday
Markkanen is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Rockets due to lower back soreness.
The Jazz could opt to play it cautiously on the second night of a back-to-back and have Markkanen sit out due to his back soreness. If the 27-year-old forward is ultimately downgraded to out, Cody Williams, Brice Sensabaugh, Johnny Juzang and KJ Martin are all candidates to receive increased playing time.

Jazz's John Collins: Working through sore back
Collins (back) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against Houston.
Collins is coming off a 26-point performance during the Jazz's 130-107 loss to the Thunder on Friday, but he appears to have come out of contest worse for wear with a sore lower back. Micah Potter, Brice Sensabaugh and KJ Martin would be candidates to enter Utah's starting lineup if Collins is unable to play Saturday.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Pops for 20 off bench Friday
George notched 20 points (7-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal over 31 minutes off the bench during Friday's 130-107 loss to the Thunder.
It's the fourth time in the last seven games that George has scored 20-plus points, and the second-year guard has adapted quickly to the second unit. He's scored in double digits in 12 straight contests, coming off the bench in all of them, and over that span, George has averaged 17.3 points, 6.3 assists, 4.1 boards and 2.3 threes while shooting a respectable 44.4 percent from the floor -- a big improvement on his 39.8 percent mark for the season.
