  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Dishes power-play helper

Pastrnak tallied an assist on the power play and took three shots on net in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.

Pastrnak's assist helped him raise his scoring streak to 14 games. During this stretch, he leads the league in points with 27. Overall, Pastrnak is up to 41 assists, 69 points and 233 shots on net across 58 contests this season. The 28-year-old winger has been an elite offensive player since the calendar flipped to 2025, which has helped him raise his point totals to a tie with Vegas' Jack Eichel for seventh most in the league. Pastrnak will chase the 100-point mark for the third season in a row while the Bruins make a push toward a playoff spot in the Atlantic.

  • Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Tallies two assists

Lohrei registered two helpers, took four shots on goal and had two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Anaheim.

Lohrei was the primary helper on Morgan Geekie's game-tying goal to send the game to overtime. His other helper came on the power play, where he has assumed blue line work with the man advantage after Charlie McAvoy (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve. Overall, the 24-year-old defenseman has three goals, 22 helpers, 49 shots on net and 72 blocks in 53 appearances this season. His two-point effort Saturday broke a five-game drought without points and was his first multi-point game since mid-January. While McAvoy remains out, Lohrei should continue to receive a large portion of ice time and opportunities to produce on Boston's blue line. He has fantasy value in deep leagues.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Scores goal Saturday

Geekie tallied the game-tying goal late into Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Geekie's goal arrived with just over a minute to play in Saturday's contest and would send the game to overtime. The 26-year-old forward has 18 goals, 30 points and 107 shots on net in 53 games this season. Geekie has three goals across five outings in February and has become a staple on Boston's top line. Skating alongside David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha, he has a chance to break the 40-point mark for the first time in his career. With his recent success, Geekie has value in all fantasy formats and serves as a decent streamer in standard leagues.

  • Bruins' Elias Lindholm: Nets power-play goal

Lindholm found the back of the net on the power play and took three shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Lindholm's tally was the lone goal of the second period, which cut the Bruins' early deficit in half. His power-play tally was his second goal of the season with the man advantage. Overall, Lindholm has 11 goals, 30 points, 96 shots on net and 90 hits in 58 games this season. After skating with Team Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off, he has been an instant contributor and is back on Boston's first power-play unit following the injury to Charlie McAvoy (shoulder). While he is well off his career best of 82 points from the 2021-22 campaign, the 30-year-old center has time to surpass his mark of 44 points from a year ago. Lindholm should continue to see top-six minutes and a decent chunk of power-play time.

  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Unlikely to return this season

Lindholm (kneecap) underwent surgery for a fractured patella and is likely out for the season, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.

It'll go down as a lost season for Lindholm, who's been sidelined since initially suffering the injury on Nov. 12. The 31-year-old blueliner appeared in 17 games this year, logging three goals and seven points. Lindholm will now turn his attention towards getting back to full health ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Stops 26 shots

Swayman saved 26 of the 29 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Outside the final three minutes of the first period, Swayman kept Boston's net tidy until Leo Carlsson's game-winner in the extra period. The 26-year-old netminder holds an 18-18-5 record with a 2.98 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Swayman traveled with Team USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off but did not make an appearance in net. Boston should challenge for a playoff spot in the Atlantic, meaning Swayman will continue to see plenty of reps moving forward. His next opportunity to guard the crease is on home ice Tuesday against the Maple Leafs.

  • Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Poised to play

Lohrei (illness) is expected to play against Anaheim on Saturday, according to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic.

Despite skipping the morning skate, Lohrei will be in the lineup. He has accounted for three goals, 23 points, 45 shots on net and 71 blocked shots through 52 appearances this season. Due to the absence of Charlie McAvoy (shoulder), Lohrei could receive an increased role while seeing time on the top power-play unit.

  • Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Lands on IR

McAvoy (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.

McAvoy is out indefinitely due to an infection in his right shoulder and an AC joint injury. The Bruins have yet to reveal an official timeline for his absence, but losing McAvoy is a big hit to a team in the middle of the playoff race. Mason Lohrei figures to pick up power-play time in the interim.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets starting assignment Saturday

Swayman will defend the home blue paint against Anaheim on Saturday.

Swayman is 18-1-8-4 with three shutouts, a 2.98 GAA and an .898 save percentage across 40 starts this season. He has struggled this season after missing training camp in a contract dispute, and while he has played well during stretches of time in 2024-25, he has not come close to his play over the previous three campaigns. He could have an easier time of things Saturday, as the Ducks are last in NHL scoring, averaging 2.48 goals per game this season.

  • Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Questionable Saturday

Lohrei is dealing with an illness and is questionable for Saturday's tilt versus Anaheim, according to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald.

Lohrei has three goals and 20 assists in 52 games this season and has been a force on the power play with 10 assists. When healthy, Lohrei will take over quarterbacking the first power play as Charlie McAvoy is out of action with a shoulder injury and infection. Look for Parker Wotherspoon to enter the lineup, if Lohrei is unable to play.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Returned to Providence

DiPietro was reassigned to AHL Providence on Friday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.

DiPietro was recalled Tuesday, as Jeremy Swayman was on the United States roster at the 4 Nations Face-Off. DiPietro is having a stellar season at the AHL level this season, going 17-7-4 with a 2.00 GAA and a .928 save percentage across 28 starts.

  • Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Develops shoulder infection

McAvoy suffered a right shoulder injury during Team USA's clash against Finland on Thursday. He returned to Boston but began to experience increasing pain, which led to him being diagnosed with an infection as well as a significant AC joint injury. He had a procedure Tuesday and is in the hospital to be treated with IV antibiotics, the Bruins announced Wednesday.

A timetable for McAvoy's return is unclear, but it will probably be a long-term absence. Interim head coach Joe Sacco expects the defenseman to be unavailable in the "short term," according to Eric Russo of the Bruins' official site, but didn't go into more detail. McAvoy has seven goals, 23 points, 46 PIM, 89 hits and 81 blocks over 50 appearances with Boston in 2024-25. Jordan Oesterle will probably play against Anaheim on Saturday due to McAvoy's absence.

  • Bruins' Riley Tufte: Called up Tuesday

Tufte was recalled from AHL Providence on Tuesday on an emergency basis.

Tufte has not recorded a point in three games with the Bruins this season. The 26-year-old will likely be sent back to the AHL once Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm return to Boston following the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Added to NHL roster

DiPietro will join the Bruins as a practice player, the team announced Tuesday.

Jeremy Swayman remains with Team USA for the 4 Nations Face-Off, so the Bruins brought DiPietro up from AHL Providence to fill out the roster. Once Swayman rejoins the squad, look for the 25-year-old DiPietro to head back to the minors where he figures to spend the bulk of the remaining games.

  • Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Summoned from Providence

Poitras was recalled from AHL Providence on Tuesday.

Poitras was sent to the minors prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament. The right-shot center has chipped in one goal and 10 assists through 26 games with the Bruins this season.

  • Bruins' Michael Callahan: Brought up from minors

Callahan was recalled from AHL Providence on Tuesday.

Callahan hasn't earned a point in eight NHL appearances this season while posting three shots on goal, nine blocked shots and four hits. He has played in Boston's last four games and will probably be in the lineup for Saturday's matchup versus Anaheim.

  • Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Ruled out against Canada

McAvoy (upper body) will not be in the lineup for Team USA's clash with Canada on Thursday.

McAvoy is continuing to be evaluated by both Team USA and the Bruins, leaving his availability against the Ducks on Saturday in doubt. The 27-year-old blueliner was sidelined for seven games in mid-January and now faces the potential of being back on the shelf after just five games back in the Bruins' lineup. For the Americans, Jake Sanderson figures to remain in the lineup with McAvoy on the shelf.
