Beck was recalled from AHL Laval on Monday.
Beck hasn't earned a point in six NHL outings this season while posting six shots on goal, three blocked shots and 13 hits. The 21-year-old forward has 13 goals and 32 points across 47 minor-league appearances in the 2024-25 campaign. Beck will be a depth forward for the Canadiens while Michael Pezzetta (lower body) recovers from an injury.

Canadiens' Arber Xhekaj: Ends lengthy drought

Xhekaj got on the scoresheet for the first time since Dec. 20 with his helper on a Cole Caufield tally in the first period. The 24-year-old Xhekaj has been a regular presence in the Canadiens' lineup this season, adding some grit in a bottom-four role. He's at six points, 58 shots on net, 143 hits, 51 blocked shots, 83 PIM and a minus-7 rating. His playing style works in fantasy formats that reward physicality, but his ice time could drop once Kaiden Guhle (quadriceps) is able to return to the lineup.

Canadiens' Jayden Struble: Puts up helper in win
Struble notched an assist, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Struble got on the scoresheet for the first time since Nov. 26 versus Utah. His point drought was just 14 games -- the blueliner has been a frequent scratch and even went on a conditioning loan with AHL Laval. Struble is likely to see steady playing time for as long as Kaiden Guhle (quadriceps) is out. For the season, Struble has six points, 30 shots on net, 64 hits, 29 blocked shots, 37 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 31 appearances.

Savard helped out on a Cole Caufield goal in the first period. This was Savard's second game in a row with a helper, though they came nearly two weeks apart due to the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 34-year-old defenseman has made limited contributions on offense this season, earning 12 points over 51 appearances. He's added 123 blocked shots, 40 hits, 36 shots on net, 26 PIM and a minus-6 rating while filling a bottom-four role -- his average of 17:46 of ice time per game is his lowest mark since 2013-14.

He may not win it, but he should be in the Calder Trophy conversation.

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Provides two assists in win
Suzuki notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
This was Suzuki's first multi-point effort since Jan. 25 versus the Devils. The center helped out on Patrik Laine's game-winner late in the first period as well as Juraj Slafkovsky's insurance tally in the second. Suzuki has put together another strong year as the Canadiens' first-line center, earning 54 points (17 on the power play), 115 shots on net, 47 blocked shots, 45 hits and a plus-4 rating over 57 appearances. He's on a pace similar to the one that yielded him 77 points over 82 outings in 2023-24, though he's been more reliant on playmaking in 2024-25.

The goal snapped a 10-game point drought for Anderson. Despite the streaky offense, his usage has remained consistent -- he's been a middle-six option for the Canadiens throughout the campaign. The 30-year-old winger is at nine goals, 19 points, 80 shots on net, 124 hits, 58 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 57 appearances. His shot volume has dropped this season, so while he's on pace for a better campaign than his 20-point effort of 78 contests in 2023-24, a return to his peak as a 20-goal threat is unlikely with his current deployment.

Caufield has gone eight games without a multi-point effort. He was still able to make an early impact, giving the Canadiens a 2-0 lead at 4:28 of the first period. He's well on his way to a career year, which could see him push for the 40-goal and 75-point marks if he finishes strong.

Gallagher has back-to-back multi-point efforts sandwiched around the 4 Nations Face-Off break. He continues to primarily play on the third line and second power-play unit.

Montembeault lost five of his six games prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off, but he was back in the win column after serving as Team Canada's No. 3 goalie. The 28-year-old saw a heavy workload early in the season, but Saturday marked his first time since Dec. 29-Jan. 3 that he appeared in three straight contests. Montembeault is now 19-21-3 with a 2.97 GAA and an .897 save percentage across a career-high 43 appearances this season. The Canadiens have no back-to-back sets over the next week, so he could get a lengthy stretch of time unless head coach Martin St. Louis wants to get Jakub Dobes some playing time quickly after a two-week break. Montreal hosts Carolina on Tuesday.

Montembeault will start on the road versus the Senators on Saturday.
Montembeault was with Team Canada during the 4 Nations Face-Off, but the 28-year-old served as the third goaltender and didn't get any game action. That makes him fairly well rested coming out of the break. He'll draw the start against the Senators, who have averaged 2.80 goals per game this season, though they also have the 10th-best power play in the league with a 23.4 percent success rate.
