Senators' Zack Ostapchuk: Dropped to minors
Ostapchuk was loaned to AHL Belleville on Sunday.
Ostapchuk registered one shot on goal, four hits and one blocked shot in 14:22 of ice time during Saturday's 5-2 loss to Montreal. He has one goal, three assists, 86 hits and 20 shots on net in 43 NHL outings this season. If Brady Tkachuk (lower body), Josh Norris (upper body) and Shane Pinto (upper body) are unavailable for Wednesday's matchup versus Winnipeg, Ostapchuk will probably rejoin the big club.

Senators' Cole Reinhardt: Loaned to AHL affiliate
Reinhardt was assigned to AHL Belleville on Sunday.
Reinhardt had seven hits and four PIM in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Montreal. He has one goal, two points, 37 hits and 15 PIM across 17 NHL appearances this season. Reinhardt could return to Ottawa before Wednesday's game versus Winnipeg if Brady Tkachuk (lower body), Josh Norris (upper body) and Shane Pinto (upper body) remain unavailable.

Senators' Drake Batherson: Helps out on power play
Batherson recorded a power-play assist, four shots on goal, three hits and a minus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Batherson has earned six points over six contests in February, with five of those points coming on the power play. That's also led to a minus-8 rating, as his even-strength performance has been lacking at times. The winger is still having a strong year on offense -- he's at 46 points (24 on the power play) and has reached the 30-assist mark for the third year in a row. Batherson has added 128 shots on net, 86 hits and a minus-11 rating over 57 appearances in a top-six role.

Senators' Jake Sanderson: Nets power-play marker
Sanderson scored a power-play goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Not only did Sanderson not need rest after the 4 Nations Face-Off, he was able to get the Senators on the board with his first-period tally. The defenseman ended up logging 21:21 of ice time, well below his average of 24:25 per game coming into the contest. He's now at six goals, 36 points (21 on the power play), 130 shots on net, 119 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating through 56 appearances. Sanderson should be back up to his usual workload beginning with Wednesday's game versus the Jets -- look for him to see time on the top pairing and first power-play unit as he marches toward what's tracking to be a 50-point campaign for the 22-year-old.

Senators' Tim Stutzle: Pair of points in loss
Stutzle scored a goal on four shots, added a power-play assist, notched two hits and went minus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Stutzle had a decent performance despite the negative result. The 23-year-old was red-hot prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off break, and he kept the momentum up for the first game back. He's earned three goals and 10 assists during a nine-game point streak. For the season, the German center is up to 18 goals, 58 points (23 on the power play), 115 shots on net, 88 hits and an even plus-minus rating across 57 appearances.

Senators' Anton Forsberg: Perfect in relief Saturday
Forsberg stopped all 10 shots he faced in relief of Linus Ullmark in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
The Canadiens eased up after Forsberg entered the contest, and he held up well. The 32-year-old is 4-2-0 with 16 goals allowed on 195 shots over his last eight outings, good for a .918 save percentage in that span. For the season, he's 8-10-1 with a 2.82 GAA and an .895 save percentage, which are fine numbers for a backup. It's unclear when Forsberg might start again -- the Senators have no back-to-backs over the next week while alternating between strong and weak opponents across the next four games. Ullmark has struggled lately while Forsberg has been steady, which may influence head coach Travis Green's plans between the pipes in the near term.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Chased after five goals against
Ullmark surrendered five goals on 15 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
It's possible Ullmark was still dealing with some lingering effects from the flu bug that kept him out of Sweden's 4 Nations Face-Off game against Team USA. In NHL play, this was his third straight loss since returning from a long-term back injury, and he's allowed 12 goals on 99 shots in that span. For the season, he's 12-10-2 with a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 26 appearances. Ullmark is still a high-quality goalie, but the Senators' next matchup is Wednesday versus the Jets, so fantasy managers may want to find a short-term alternative until he gets back on track.

Senators' Nick Jensen: Returning Saturday
Jensen (undisclosed) will be in the lineup Saturday versus the Canadiens, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Jensen dealt with a lower-body injury prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off break and was apparently bothered by an issue ahead of Saturday's contest. He'll suit up in a seven-defensemen lineup, giving the Senators some cover on the back end if his injury impacts his performance during the game. Assuming he ends up fine, he's in line for top-four minutes.

Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Unavailable vs. Montreal
Tkachuk (lower body) won't play Saturday versus Montreal, per Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.
While some participants of the 4 Nations Face-Off are being scratched from Saturday's game so that they can get some rest following the tournament, Tkachuk is dealing with a lingering injury from his time with Team USA. The 25-year-old has 21 goals, 44 points, 101 PIM and 188 hits in 56 outings with Ottawa in 2024-25. Due to Tkachuk's absence, David Perron could occupy a top-six role against the Canadiens.

Senators' Jake Sanderson: Slated to play
Sanderson (rest) is expected to be in the lineup Saturday versus the Canadiens, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.
Sanderson was questionable to suit up after his stint with Team USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off. It looks like he'll be able to avoid taking additional rest at this time, and with the Senators off for three days after this contest, he should be fine moving forward. Sanderson can be penciled in for top-pairing minutes and power-play duties.

Senators' Nick Cousins: Shifts to LTIR
Cousins (knee) was placed on long-term injured reserve Saturday, per PuckPedia.
Ottawa activated Noah Gregor (lower body) from long-term injured reserve in a corresponding move. Cousins is month-to-month after having knee surgery in late January. He has produced five goals, 13 points, 80 hits and 63 shots on net across 47 appearances this season.

Senators' Noah Gregor: Off IR
Gregor (lower body) was activated from long-term injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Gregor will rejoin the Senators ahead of Saturday's matchup with Montreal after missing their last 16 games heading into the 4 Nation Face-Off break. Gregor logged four goals and six points in 35 appearances in a bottom-six role with Ottawa earlier this year.

Senators' Jake Sanderson: Game-time decision Saturday
Sanderson (rest) will be a game-time decision Saturday versus the Canadiens, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Sanderson and teammate Brady Tkachuk played for the Americans in Thursday's finale against Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off and will get another four days of rest if they sit out Saturday's tilt against Montreal. Sanderson has five goals and 30 assists in 55 games this season, three points shy of his career-high 38 points in 79 regular-season games set last season.

Senators' Nick Jensen: Game-time call Saturday
Jensen (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Saturday against Montreal, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Jensen played in Ottawa's last three games before the 4 Nations Face-Off break, though he missed the Sens' previous five contests with a lower-body injury. The 34-year-old blueliner has three goals, 18 points and a plus-13 rating in 51 games this year.

Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Game-time decision Saturday
Per TSN 1200 Ottawa, Tkachuk (lower body) will be a game-time decision versus Montreal on Saturday, according to coach Travis Green.
Tkachuk is coming off a tough loss Thursday against Canada and may need the night off, as the Senators next play Wednesday against the Jets. Tkachuk has 21 goals and 44 points with a league-leading 101 PIM and 188 hits across 56 appearances this season.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Starting Saturday
Ullmark (illness) will be between the home pipes versus Montreal on Saturday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Ullmark missed Sweden's last game of the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday when he came down with the flu. He has lost his last two regular-season games after missing 19 contests with a back injury, allowing seven goals on 84 shots. Ullmark is 12-9-2 with three shutouts, a 2.49 GAA and a .915 save percentage across 25 appearances this season. Montreal is tied for 16th in the league with 2.88 goals per game in 2024-25.

Senators' Shane Pinto: Not playing Saturday
Pinto (upper body) will be unavailable versus Montreal on Saturday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.
Pinto sat out the last two games before the break due to the injury. He was injured against Tampa Bay on Feb. 4, playing only 2:57 before leaving the contest. Pinto had a five-game point streak heading into the matchup against the Lightning, and he has 11 goals and 22 points over 46 appearances in 2024-25.

Senators' Josh Norris: Unavailable for Saturday
Norris (upper body) will miss Saturday's clash against Montreal, per Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia on Friday.
Norris is set to miss his fifth straight game. He has 19 goals and 31 points across 50 outings in 2024-25. The 25-year-old will likely serve on the second line once he's ready to return.
