Capitals' Connor McMichael: Achieves first 20-goal season
McMichael scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.
The Capitals' passing on the play put the Oilers' defense in a blender, with McMichael finishing off a shot from between the circles at 19:45 of the second period to stretch the lead to 5-1. It was his 20th goal of the season -- this is the first time the 24-year-old has reached that mark. He's earned three goals and four assists over his last seven outings, and he's up to 43 points, 124 shots on net and a plus-21 rating as a fixture in the Capitals' top six this season.

Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Notches two points
Chychrun tallied a goal, an assist, both on the power-play, and added two blocked shots during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.
Chychrun has been on fire of late with four goals, six points and 14 shots in his last four outings. The pending unrestricted free agent paces all Capitals defensemen with 17 goals and 38 points in 51 games this season and is a game-breaking fantasy asset due to his prolific shooting ability, so fantasy managers should keep him deployed with regularity.

Capitals' John Carlson: Keeps assist streak going
Carlson recorded two assists and two blocked shots during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.
Carlson has recorded at least one assist in eight straight games dating back to Jan. 28. The 35-year-old defender has managed four goals, 38 points and a plus-23 rating in 57 games and continues to be one of the more dependable rearguards in the game, so keep him rolling.

Capitals' Tom Wilson: Tallies one of each
Wilson registered a goal, a power-play assist, two shots and two hits during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.
Wilson was questionable heading into Sunday's matinee after exiting Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins with an undisclosed injury, but he appears to be no worse for wear. The burly winger is up to 26 goals and 45 points in 57 games and is well on his way to a new career high in points if he can stay healthy, so keep him fixed in your lineups the rest of the way.

Capitals' Dylan Strome: Stretches streak to eight
Strome tallied a goal, two assists, a plus-3 rating and three shots during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.
Strome has bagged a whopping six goals and 12 points in his last 10 appearances and is on his longest point streak of the season at eight games. The 27-year-old continues to pace the league-leading Capitals with 58 points in 57 games and is an automatic start in any format the rest of the way.

Capitals' Aliaksei Protas: Hits 50-point mark
Protas tallied three assists, a plus-3 rating and three shots during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.
It was "threes" across the board for Protas, who has compiled five goals and 14 points in his last 12 games to reach the 50-point mark for the first time in his NHL career. The hulking winger is back on the top line alongside Alex Ovechkin and is producing more than enough even-strength numbers to merit broad fantasy appeal.

Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Triumphant against Edmonton
Lindgren stopped 22 of 25 shots faced during Sunday's 7-3 home win over the Oilers.
Lindgren was buoyed by another effort of seven-plus goals by the Capitals, including a hat trick from Alex Ovechkin. The 31-year-old improves to a 2.63 GAA and a .900 save percentage to go along with a 13-9-3 record in 26 starts and is likely to be in action when the Capitals face the Blues on Thursday.

Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Slings hat trick Sunday
Ovechkin tallied three goals and added nine shots during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.
Ovechkin made Oilers goaltender Calvin Pickard the 181st NHL goalie he has scored on, and the empty-net goal in the third period brings the "Great 8" to within 13 goals of Wayne Gretzky for the all-time record. It also made Ovechkin the first player in NHL history to record at least 200 goals in three different decades. The 39-year-old has been absolutely dazzling in his 20th NHL season with 29 goals and 46 points in 41 games despite missing over a month of action due to a broken leg. Age is clearly just a number for the Capitals captain, so fantasy managers should keep rolling Ovechkin out regularly as he continues the chase for history.

Capitals' Tom Wilson: Set to play
Wilson (undisclosed) is expected to play Sunday against Edmonton, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Wilson was considered a game-time call after suffering an injury in Saturday's win over Pittsburgh, though the veteran winger skated in warmups, indicating he should be available against the Oilers. Wilson has a career-high 25 goals and 43 points through 56 games this season.

Capitals' Tom Wilson: Game-time decision
Wilson (undisclosed) will be a game-time call against Edmonton on Sunday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Wilson sustained an injury in Saturday's 8-3 win over Pittsburgh after being cross-checked by Ryan Graves. The 30-year-old Wilson left the game in the third period and didn't return. He has accounted for 25 goals, 43 points, 126 shots on net, 52 blocked shots, 160 hits and 50 PIM through 56 appearances this season. If Wilson can't play, Jakub Vrana could draw into the lineup after being a healthy scratch for the last 16 games.

Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Starting Sunday
Lindgren will guard the road crease Sunday against the Oilers, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.
Lindgren will get the nod Sunday in the second leg of a back-to-back after Logan Thompson started Saturday's win over the Penguins. The 31-year-old Lindgren is 12-9-3 with a .900 save percentage and a 2.63 GAA this season.

Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Notches two points
Fehervary registered a goal, an assist and dished out three hits during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Fehervary has managed four points over his last four games in a rare offensive outburst for the smooth-skating rearguard. The 25-year-old logs top-four minutes but lacks the offensive consistency fantasy managers covet.

Capitals' Trevor van Riemsdyk: Slings helper Saturday
Van Riemsdyk registered an assist and a plus-2 rating during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
The helper puts Van Riemsdyk seven points back of his previous best of 23 from the 2022-23 season. He has plenty of time to challenge those totals. The 33-year-old has provided stalwart defensive play, but his lack of consistent offensive production doesn't lend him much fantasy appeal.

Capitals' John Carlson: Extends point streak
Carlson tallied an assist, two shots and a plus-2 rating during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Carlson extended his assist streak to seven games with a secondary helper on forward Aliaksei Protas' second-period goal. The 35-year-old blueliner has managed four goals and 36 points in 56 games and remains one of the more solid fantasy rearguards in the league.

Capitals' Rasmus Sandin: Dishes two helpers
Sandin tallied two assists, a plus-2 rating and three blocked shots during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Sandin has recorded 20-plus points in three consecutive seasons following Saturday's two-point effort. The Swedish blueliner has emerged as a stalwart top-four defenseman during his tenure with the Capitals. However, Sandin must find the scoresheet more regularly to have much fantasy appeal in standard formats.

Capitals' Matt Roy: Plucks two apples
Roy tallied two assists and blocked four shots during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Roy has turned up the heat offensively in recent weeks with a goal, nine points and a plus-12 rating over his last 20 games. The 29-year-old has been an invaluable shutdown defender and has chipped in enough offensively to warrant some fantasy consideration in deeper leagues.

Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Pots two goals
Chychrun tallied two goals, six shots and two blocked shots during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Chychrun netted both tallies in an explosive second period in which the Capitals tallied five goals to deliver a knockout blow to their division rivals. The 26-year-old has posted 16 goals and 37 points in just 41 games. He could set new career highs in goals (18) and points (41) if he can stay healthy and productive the rest of the way.
