Islanders' Matt Martin: Surfaces on IR
Martin (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.
Martin hasn't been in the lineup for the last 12 games, making it unclear when he suffered an injury. He has one assist, 12 shots on goal, 15 blocked shots and 68 hits in 24 appearances this season. The Islanders may update his status before Tuesday's matchup against the Rangers.

Islanders' Marc Gatcomb: Logs helper
Gatcomb notched an assist and six hits in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
This was Gatcomb's first assist of the season and his fourth point over seven contests. The 25-year-old has settled into a fourth-line role since making his NHL debut Jan. 14 against the Senators. In addition to his four points, he has 13 shots on net, 54 hits, nine PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 13 appearances. That level of production may help in extremely deep fantasy formats, but Gatcomb is far away from having widespread appeal.

Islanders' Kyle MacLean: Registers assist in loss
MacLean provided an assist in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
MacLean snapped a three-game point drought. He's actually improved recently with three points over his last seven outings, but it'll be tough for him to keep it up while he's firmly on the fourth line. The 25-year-old center is up to eight points, 41 shots on net, 73 hits and a minus-10 rating through 56 appearances this season.

Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Sends helper
DeAngelo provided an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
DeAngelo had been held off the scoresheet in two games prior to the break, his first multi-game drought since signing with the Islanders. He's provided five points over nine appearances, though none of them have come on the power play despite the defenseman taking a substantial amount of ice time in that situation. DeAngelo's offense has always been his calling card, and as long as his workload remains large, he's worth considering in fantasy.

Islanders' Brock Nelson: Picks up helper
Nelson logged an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Nelson has four points and 16 shots on net over his last four contests. The 33-year-old has been excellent in a second-line role this season, giving the Islanders some stability on offense. He's up to 36 points, 150 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 56 appearances. That production doesn't play in all fantasy formats, especially with a lack of physicality, but Nelson's consistency can add some appeal.

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Garners helper in loss
Horvat notched an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Horvat has earned three points over his last six outings. The 29-year-old center hasn't picked up a multi-point effort since Jan. 20 versus the Blue Jackets, but he remains in a top-line role as a key part of the Islanders' offense. For the season, he's at 41 points, 161 shots on net, 73 hits and a plus-10 rating over 55 appearances. He'll need a big push to close out the season to get to the 60-point mark for the third season in a row.

Islanders' Pierre Engvall: Gets on scoresheet with goal
Engvall scored a goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders.
Engvall ended a two-month point drought -- he had been held off the scoresheet in his last 17 outings while getting scratched six times in that span. The 28-year-old forward has eight points, 39 shots on net, 19 hits and a minus-5 rating through 39 appearances this season. He was waived in December to create some roster flexibility but ultimately stayed with the Islanders and would require another pass through waivers to be assigned to AHL Bridgeport in the future.

Islanders' Anthony Duclair: Ends goal drought Sunday
Duclair scored a goal on four shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Duclair snapped a seven-game goal drought when he brought the Islanders back within one in the third period, but they still fell short. The 29-year-old winger is still struggling to get back into a rhythm after missing a large chunk of the first half of the season due to a lower-body injury. He's at five goals, nine points, 37 shots on net and a minus-9 rating over 27 appearances in his first campaign with the Islanders.

Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Lights lamp in loss
Palmieri scored a goal on five shots in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Palmieri's tally tied the game at 2-2 in the second period. The winger has five goals and an assist over his last seven outings while filling a second-line role. For the season, he's been pretty steady with 17 goals, 38 points, 105 shots, 36 hits and a minus-5 rating across 56 appearances. A return to last year's 30-goal performance is unlikely, but he could reach the 50-point mark for the second year in a row and the fifth time in his career.

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Can't snap skid
Sorokin allowed four goals on 29 shots in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Sorokin has allowed at least four goals in each of his last three games, losing all three of them. The two-week break during the 4 Nations Face-Off didn't appear to help him, though it's possible he was rusty due to the time off, though the Stars were the team on the second half of a back-to-back. Sorokin dropped to 20-17-4 with a 2.72 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 41 appearances this season. The Islanders host the Rangers on Tuesday, and it's expected Sorokin will continue to handle a heavy workload while both Semyon Varlamov (lower body) and Marcus Hogberg (upper body) are out.

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Set to start Sunday
Sorokin will patrol the home crease against Dallas on Sunday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Following a seven-game winning streak, Sorokin has allowed nine goals on 59 shots in his two-game losing skid. He has a 20-16-4 record with three shutouts, a 2.69 GAA and a .907 save percentage across 40 appearances this season. Dallas ranks fifth in the league with 3.29 goals per game in 2024-25 and earned a 4-2 win over New Jersey on Saturday.

Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Activated from IR
Mayfield (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Mayfield will return ahead of Sunday's matchup with Dallas after missing the Islanders' final four contests before the break. The 32-year-old blueliner had two goals, seven points and a plus-14 rating in his first 50 games this season.

Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Activated from injured reserve
The Islanders activated Pulock (upper body) from injured reserve Saturday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Pulock missed seven games with the injury. He has been practicing with the Islanders over the last week and was a full participant in practice Thursday. Pulock has three goals, 13 assists and 105 blocked shots across 48 appearances this season.

Islanders' Noah Dobson: Regular jersey at practice
Dobson (lower body) is wearing a regular jersey at practice Saturday, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Dobson has missed the last nine games, and since he is on long-term injured reserve, he will have to sit out Sunday's tilt against Dallas. The 25-year-old has regressed after a breakout 2023-24 campaign in which he had 10 goals and 60 assists in 79 regular-season appearances. Dobson has only six goals and 24 points through 46 outings in 2024-25. He could return as early as Tuesday versus the Rangers.

Islanders' Dennis Cholowski: Placed on waivers
Cholowski was put on waivers by the Islanders on Thursday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
The Islanders have four defensemen on injured reserve, including Scott Mayfield (lower body), Ryan Pulock (upper body), Noah Dobson (lower body) and Mike Reilly (chest). Pulock and Mayfield are due back this weekend, giving the Islanders eight healthy defensemen. The Islanders need to send someone to the minors, and Cholowski will need to pass through waivers for that to occur. Cholowski has three goals, seven assists and 30 blocked shots over 33 appearances this season.

Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Practicing in regular jersey
Pulock (upper body) practiced in a regular jersey Thursday, according to Denis Gorman of Newsday.
Pulock was injured Jan. 25 against the Hurricanes and has missed the last seven games. It seems likely that he'll be activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's home tilt versus Dallas. Pulock has generated three goals, 16 points, 105 blocked shots and 58 hits over 48 contests this season.

Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Looking to play against Stars
Mayfield (lower body) told reporters he is hoping to be available for Sunday's matchup with Dallas, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Mayfield appears to have taken advantage of the time off during the 4 Nations Face-Off to get back to 100 percent when the Isles return to action Sunday. In order to suit up versus the Stars, the veteran blueliner will need to be activated off injured reserve and could step into the lineup for Dennis Cholowski or Adam Boqvist.
