Rangers' Matthew Robertson: Sent down Monday
Robertson was assigned to AHL Hartford on Monday.
Robertson was called up during the 4 Nations Face-Off break to provide additional depth, but he didn't appear in either of the Rangers' two games after the team resumed play. He'll head back to the minors after Zac Jones was recalled from his conditioning assignment. Robertson has made 47 appearances in the AHL this year, logging a goal and 17 assists.

Rangers' Brennan Othmann: Called up from Hartford
Othmann was recalled from AHL Hartford on Monday.
Othmann made three appearances for the Rangers last year, but he's been productive in the AHL this season, racking up 12 goals and eight assists over 27 appearances with the Wolf Pack. The 22-year-old should provide additional depth for the Rangers while Chris Kreider deals with an upper-body injury.

Rangers' Zac Jones: Recalled from AHL
Jones was recalled from AHL Hartford on Monday.
Jones was sent to the AHL on a conditioning loan Thursday, but he'll rejoin the Rangers shortly after the team resumed play following the 4 Nations Face-Off break. Jones is unlikely to see much playing time with New York, as he's made just two NHL appearances since the start of the calendar year.

Rangers' K'Andre Miller: Pockets power-play assist
Miller logged a power-play assist in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Penguins.
The Rangers' second power-play unit got them on the board late in the first period, with Miller setting up Will Cuylle for the goal. The 25-year-old Miller has three points over seven outings in February while continuing to play on the second pairing. The defenseman is at 14 points (two on the power play), 79 shots on net, 80 hits, 74 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating across 51 appearances. Miller would need a meteoric surge to get back to the 30-point mark, a level he's reached in each of the previous two campaigns.

Rangers' Ryan Lindgren: Registers two helpers Sunday
Lindgren delivered two even-strength assists, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-3 win over Pittsburgh.
Lindgren produced secondary helpers on goals by Jimmy Vesey and J.T. Miller in the final stanza. This was Lindgren's first multi-point effort since Jan. 5 and second of the campaign. The left-shot blueliner is up to two goals, 17 points, 34 PIM, 39 shots on goal, 57 hits and 99 blocked shots through 52 outings. The 27-year-old is just two points shy of setting a new career high in his seventh NHL season.

Rangers' Reilly Smith: Two apples in road victory
Smith collected a pair of assists, one on the power play, in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Penguins.
Smith produced the secondary helper on Will Cuylle's 15th goal of the season in the opening frame before he set up Adam Fox's go-ahead tally at 11:26 of the third period. Smith had been held off the scoresheet in six of seven games prior to Sunday. The veteran winger has contributed 10 goals and 28 points across 56 appearances this season. Smith is on pace for 41 points, which would be one more than the 40 he recorded with the Penguins in 2023-24.

Rangers' Will Cuylle: Delivers power-play marker in win
Cuylle scored a power-play goal and logged two PIM, two shots on goal, three hits and a plus-1 rating in Sunday's 5-3 win over Pittsburgh.
Cuylle fired a wrist shot past Joel Blomqvist to tie the score at 1-1 late in the opening frame. Cuylle has followed up a five-game dry spell with two goals and an assist in his last three outings. The Ontario native is up to 15 goals, 30 points, 30 PIM, 104 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through 57 appearances this season. Cuylle's blend of physicality and depth production offers decent value in most fantasy formats.

Rangers' Jimmy Vesey: Two points in Sunday's win
Vesey registered a goal on his only shot, an assist and a plus-1 rating in 18:10 of ice time Sunday in a 5-3 win over Pittsburgh.
Vesey was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Sabres, but he responded with his first multi-point effort of the campaign Sunday. The left-shot winger tied the score at 3-3 in the final frame before adding a helper on J.T. Miller's empty-net marker. Vesey's goal was the 100th of his NHL career. The Massachusetts native's 18:10 of ice time was a season high, and so long as Chris Kreider (upper body) is sidelined, the former should be a staple on the fourth line. Vesey has chipped in four goals and two helpers over 31 appearances in 2024-25.

Rangers' Adam Fox: Point streak up to six games
Fox found the back of the net on his only shot and added an assist and two blocked shots in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Penguins.
Fox set up J.T. Miller's 250th career NHL goal to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead late in the middle stanza. The 27-year-old Fox's even-strength marker at 11:26 of the third period stood as the game-winner. The right-shot blueliner is riding a six-game point streak consisting of two goals and five helpers. Fox has been a consistent contributor in February after having spurts of offensive success earlier in the season -- he's up to five goals, 47 points and a plus-5 rating through 57 appearances in 2024-25.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Nets 250th career NHL goal Sunday
Miller scored a pair of goals on two shots and doled out five hits in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Penguins.
Miller's first tally at 17:00 of the second period was the 250th of his 13-season career. The 31-year-old added an empty-netter with seven seconds remaining in the contest. Miller now has four points in back-to-back games after participating in the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament for Team USA. The left-shot center was held off the scoresheet in three consecutive outings prior to the break, but he's up to eight points (four goals) through seven games with the Rangers since being acquired in a trade from the Canucks on Jan. 31. On the season, Miller has accounted for 13 goals and 30 points through 47 appearances.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Outstanding performance Sunday
Shesterkin turned aside 36 of 39 shots on goal in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Penguins.
Shesterkin rebounded in a big way on the road Sunday after being pulled in the first period of Saturday's loss to the Sabres. The Russian netminder stood on his head in the middle frame, stopping all 19 shots he faced. Joel Blomqvist struggled in the opposing crease -- the Rangers managed to find the back of the net five times despite having nine shots on goal through two periods and 16 overall. Shesterkin is sporting a 19-20-2 record, .903 save percentage and 2.98 GAA through 41 appearances this season. The 29-year-old will likely be between the road pipes against the Islanders on Tuesday.

Rangers' Chris Kreider: Late scratch Sunday
Kreider (upper body) won't play against Pittsburgh on Sunday.
Kreider participated in the pregame warmups before being a late scratch. He has struggled this season, producing 17 goals, 21 points, 120 shots on net and 60 hits in 48 appearances. Due to Kreider's absence, Arthur Kaliyev will remain in the lineup after initially being set to be scratched, and Jimmy Vesey will play after being a healthy scratch in Saturday's 8-2 loss to Buffalo.

Rangers' Chris Kreider: Tallies in blowout loss
Kreider scored a goal on five shots in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Sabres.
Kreider has had a good February, with two goals and two assists over six NHL games as well as one goal across two appearances for Team USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 33-year-old winger is on the third line for now, but he's occasionally been reunited with Mika Zibanejad, and the two's chemistry has returned a bit after they struggled earlier in the season. There's likely no salvaging Kreider's stat line this year -- he's at 17 goals, four assists, 120 shots on net, 60 hits and a minus-6 rating, but he's arguably been a little unlucky to shoot 14.2 percent with a slight dip in shot volume, as well as far less success than usual in setting up teammates.

Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Scores in return to action
Zibanejad scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Sabres.
Zibanejad was also one of two Rangers, along with fellow goal-scorer Chris Kreider, to stay at an even plus-minus rating in the blowout loss. Zibanejad missed Sweden's last game of the 4 Nations Face-Off due to an illness, but he's healthy again and looking for a strong conclusion to the campaign. He has three goals and six assists over six contests in February. The Rangers are still trying to find where he fits -- he's moved between third-line center and first-line right wing since the team acquired J.T. Miller from the Canucks, but Zibanejad's production hasn't wavered regardless of role.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Looking to bounce back Sunday
Shesterkin will guard the road net Sunday against the Penguins, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Shesterkin got the start Saturday against Buffalo but was pulled in the first period after allowing five goals on 16 shots. The 29-year-old netminder will look to bounce back against a Pittsburgh team that's averaging 2.86 goals per game. Overall, Shesterkin is 18-20-2 with a .903 save percentage and a 2.98 GAA this season.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Two helpers in Buffalo
Miller notched two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Sabres.
Both points came in the second period, as the Rangers made a half-hearted attempt to rally from the 5-0 hole they'd dug in the first frame. Miller has played six games since the trade that returned him to Broadway, and the 31-year-old center has recorded three two-point efforts and three goose eggs.

Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Needed in relief Saturday
Quick stopped 14 of 17 shots after replacing Igor Shesterkin late in the first period of Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Sabres.
The Rangers sleepwalked through the first frame, forcing coach Peter Laviolette to make a change between the pipes -- Shesterkin faced almost any many shots (16) in his 18-plus minutes of ice time as Quick did in 41:39. The veteran backup was expected to get the start Sunday in Pittsburgh, but given his workload in the first game after the 4 Nations Face-Off, New York might turn back to Shesterkin again and give him a chance to quickly shake off the terrible outing. If Quick is in the crease, his recent play hasn't been encouraging, and he has a 3.70 GAA and an .883 save percentage in seven appearances since the calendar flipped to 2025.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Gets hook in return to action
Shesterkin gave up five goals on 16 shots before being replaced by Jonathan Quick late in the first period of Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Sabres.
While Shesterkin didn't do himself any favors by passing up a of couple opportunities to freeze pucks, only for Buffalo to score immediately afterward, for the most part, his awful line was the result of truly terrible play by his defense. Shesterkin had missed the Rangers' last game before the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off due to an upper-body injury, but he at least looked healthy in his return. With Quick needed for heavy relief work Saturday, it's not clear which netminder will be between the pipes for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.
