  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Poor performance vs. New Jersey

Annunen stopped 31 of 36 shots in Sunday's 5-0 loss to the Devils.

Annunen was beaten once in the first period and twice more in each of the final two frames, and he posted a save percentage below the .865 mark for a fourth outing in a row. The 24-year-old has gone 2-2-0 in that stretch, but since he started on the second leg of a back-to-back set, he's likely to return to his backup role for Tuesday's contest against the Panthers, with Juuse Saros getting the start.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Tending twine Sunday

Annunen will be between the home pipes against the Devils on Sunday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Annunen had sporadic playing time ahead of the 4 Nations Face-Off break, but he'll draw the start in the second half of a back-to-back set Sunday. Over six appearances since the start of the calendar year, he's gone 5-1-0 with a 3.20 GAA and an .888 save percentage.

  • Predators' Luke Schenn: Ends point drought

Schenn recorded an assist and two hits in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Avalanche.

Schenn snapped an eight-game point drought with the helper. The 35-year-old blueliner could see steadier top-four minutes since Jeremy Lauzon (lower body) and Adam Wilsby (upper body) are done for the season. Schenn won't bolster a fantasy roster's offense -- he has just five points through 55 appearances, but he's added 202 hits, 70 blocked shots, 58 shots on net, 41 PIM and a minus-7 rating in 2024-25.

  • Predators' Justin Barron: Nets tying goal Saturday

Barron scored a goal and blocked three shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Avalanche.

Colorado held the lead for all of 30 seconds after Sam Malinski's goal, with Barron providing a quick response for Nashville. With six points over his last 12 contests, Barron has done fairly well on offense, but he also has a minus-2 rating in that span. For the season, the 23-year-old blueliner is at seven points, 38 shots on net, 48 blocked shots, 42 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 36 appearances between the Predators and the Canadiens.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Pots game-winner Saturday

Marchessault scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Avalanche.

With the score tied 1-1 midway through the third period, Luke Schenn fired a shot from the blue line wide of the Colorado net that bounced off the end boards and went right to Marchessault stationed at the far post. The veteran winger made no mistake, collecting the puck and tucking it past Scott Wedgewood for his third GWG of the season. Marchessault has a four-game point streak going, and he sits two goals short of the eighth 20-goal campaign of his career.

  • Predators' Juuse Saros: Steals win against Avs

Saros stopped 31 shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over Colorado.

Despite the fact that the Avs outshot the Preds 32-17, Saros was brilliant in ensuring the home side would come away with a victory, and the only puck to get past him came on an absolute rocket from Sam Malinski early in the second period. Playing for Team Finland in the 4 Nations Face-Off seems to have given Saros a chance to get re-focused, as he'd lost his last five starts for Nashville prior to the break while posting a 3.91 GAA and an .881 save percentage.

  • Predators' Luke Evangelista: Back in lineup Saturday

Evangelista (lower body) is set to play against Colorado on Saturday, per Nick Kieser of 102.5 ESPN Nashville.

Evangelista missed three games due to the injury. He has five goals and 15 points in 41 appearances in 2024-25. Evangelista is projected to play on the third line alongside Thomas Novak and Mark Jankowski.

  • Predators' Juuse Saros: In goal Saturday

Saros will protect the home net versus Colorado on Saturday.

Saros has surrendered 19 goals on 159 shots during his five-game losing skid. He has posted a record of 11-23-6 with four shutouts, a 2.95 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 41 appearances this season. Colorado ranks ninth in the league with 3.25 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Predators' Adam Wilsby: Done for season

Wilsby (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Friday and will not return this season.

Wilsby made a good impression in his first 23 NHL contests, logging five points, 33 shots on net, a plus-3 rating, 18 hits and 17 blocked shots. The 24-year-old's timeline to return to hockey activities is not clear, so it's possible this injury could impact his offseason training. In any case, as long as Wilsby heals well, he'll be in contention for a spot on the Predators' 2025-26 roster.

  • Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Is week-to-week

L'Heureux (upper body) was put on injured reserve Friday and is regarded as week-to-week.

L'Heureux has four goals, 13 points and 145 hits in 45 appearances in 2024-25. He also missed Nashville's last game before the break -- a 6-4 victory over Buffalo on Feb. 8 -- due to the injury. Kieffer Bellows might draw into the lineup during L'Heureux's absence.

  • Predators' Mark Jankowski: Ready to return

Jankowski (upper body) was taken off injured reserve Friday, setting him up to play Saturday versus Colorado.

Jankowski will likely serve on the fourth line against the Avalanche. He has three goals and eight points in 37 appearances in 2024-25. Zachary L'Heureux (upper body) and Adam Wilsby (upper body) were placed on injured reserve in corresponding moves.

  • Predators' Jake Livingstone: Ascends to NHL

Livingstone was recalled from AHL Milwaukee on Friday.

Livingstone has played in five NHL games, all during the 2022-23 campaign. He has spent this season with Milwaukee, where the defenseman had five goals and nine points over 40 games before his recall. Adam Wilsby is still day-to-day with an upper-body injury, leaving the Predators with just six healthy blueliners before Livingstone's recall.

  • Predators' Kieffer Bellows: Recalled from AHL

Bellows was called up from AHL Milwaukee on Friday.

Bellows was recalled in January, but he was a healthy scratch for all seven games before he was returned to the minors Jan. 28. Bellows has 14 goals and 15 assists over 41 AHL games this season, including two goals and seven points across his last seven contests.

  • Predators' Matt Murray: Filling in at practice

Murray was recalled as a practice player by the Predators on Tuesday, Emma Lingan of The Hockey News reports.

Murray will be on the roster temporarily while Juuse Saros makes his way back from the 4 Nations Face-Off. In his 27 appearances for AHL Milwaukee this year, the 27-year-old Murray is 17-7-3 with a .930 save percentage and a 2.19 GAA. Murray will head back to the minors once Saros rejoins the team.

  • Predators' Jeremy Lauzon: Set for extended absence

Lauzon (lower body) will be shelved for 4-6 weeks, the Predators announced Tuesday.

Given his recovery timeline, Lauzon will be out of action for the rest of the 2024-25 campaign due to his lower-body injury. The blueliner has been sidelined since Dec. 31 versus the Wild. Injuries have limited Lauzon to just 28 games this year in which he registered one assist, 25 assists and 37 PIM while dishing out 127 hits.

  • Predators' Grigori Denisenko: Sent to Nashville in trade

Denisenko was traded from the Golden Knights to the Predators on Tuesday in exchange for future considerations.

Denisenko was held without a point in his only appearance with Vegas this season. The former first-round selection in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has struggled to live up to his draft pedigree -- he hasn't found the back of the net through 33 career games. Nashville is dealing with numerous injuries to its forward group, so Denisenko could find himself in a consistent role going forward.
