Wild's Ryan Hartman: Suspension reduced
Hartman's suspension was dropped to eight games from 10, the NHL announced Monday.
Hartman has already served four games of his initial 10-game suspension and will now be eligible to return against Seattle on March 4. Prior to his ban, the 30-year-old winger was bogged down in an eight-game goal drought, during which he registered 14 shots and three assists. Once eligible to play, Hartman could slot into a first-line role with Matt Boldy and Mats Zuccarello -- though Marco Rossi has been thriving in that spot since Hartman has been unavailable.

Wild's Jakub Lauko: Set to practice fully Monday
Lauko (lower body) is expected to be a full participant in Monday's practice, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.
After missing the last three games, Lauko might be ready to return to the lineup against Detroit on Tuesday. He has two goals, five points, 25 shots on net, 19 blocked shots and 59 hits in 33 appearances this season. To activate Lauko from injured reserve, the Wild could assign Devin Shore to AHL Iowa or place Travis Dermott on waivers.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Starting Tuesday
Gustavsson will protect the home net against Detroit on Tuesday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Gustavsson has won four of his last five outings, stopping 165 of 178 shots. He has a 22-11-3 record with three shutouts, a 2.63 GAA and a .915 save percentage across 37 appearances this season. Detroit is tied with Minnesota for 17th in the league with 2.89 goals per game in 2024-25.

Foligno has goals in back-to-back games. Saturday's tally was timely, as he scored with 1:31 left in regulation to level the score and help the Wild forge a comeback win. Foligno is up to 11 goals this year, five of which have come over his last nine outings. The winger has 22 points, 63 shots on net, 182 hits, 53 PIM and a plus-12 rating over 57 appearances this season, nearly identical to his production from 2023-24.

Hinostroza scored a power-play goal on five shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Red Wings.
Hinostroza is up to two goals over three games with the Wild since being claimed off waivers from the Predators. He has four points, 20 shots on net, 15 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 16 total appearances this season. Hinostroza is seeing power-play time for Minnesota, helping him be more consistent on offense. He'll have a chance to make an impact as long as Kirill Kaprizov (lower body), Jakub Lauko (lower body) and Ryan Hartman (suspension) are all out.

Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Posts 69th overtime victory
Fleury stopped 27 of 30 shots in a 4-3 overtime win over Detroit on Saturday.
Fleury was busy in the second period, stopping 14 of 15 shots, but faced only five shots in the third frame during Minnesota's push to rally from a 3-1 deficit. He stopped two shots in the extra session to record the 69th overtime win of his NHL career, tying him with Martin Brodeur for the most in league history. The 40-year-old Fleury has a 12-6-1 record with a 2.58 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 20 appearances this season.

Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Will be out longer than expected
Kaprizov (lower body) is slated to be out "longer than we originally expected," GM Bill Guerin said Friday, per NHL.com.
The Wild expected Kaprizov to miss a minimum of four weeks after undergoing surgery in late January. While a timetable for his return remains unclear, Guerin's recent statement suggests the 27-year-old forward is not close to being available. Kaprizov has been fantastic when healthy this campaign, supplying 23 goals and 52 points in 37 appearances.

The Swedish club played its final game of the 4 Nations Face-Off on Monday, so Gustavsson has presumably rejoined the Wild after a short breather, which would explain why Ferguson is back in the minors.

Spurgeon (illness) missed Wednesday's practice, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.
The Wild aren't set to return from the 4 Nations Face-Off break until Saturday versus Detroit, so it wouldn't be surprising if Spurgeon is fine by then. He has six goals and 20 points over 41 appearances this season. If Spurgeon isn't able to play against the Red Wings, Travis Dermott is a candidate to draw into the lineup.

Per the Wild's release, Ferguson will serve as a practice player as allowed under the terms of the 4 Nations Face-Off rules. Essentially, Minnesota is being allowed to carry an extra goalie while Filip Gustavsson is away from the team with Sweden. Once Gustavsson rejoins the club, fantasy players can expect Ferguson to head back down to the minors.
