  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: In goal versus Knights

Kuemper will get the starting nod at home against Vegas on Monday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Kuemper is riding a three-game winning streak, during which he has posted a 2.67 GAA and .896 save percentage. With David Rittich having lost four of his last five outings, the Kings may rely heavily on Kuemper heading into the final weeks of the NHL season -- though a road back-to-back against Dallas and St. Louis on Friday and Saturday, respectively, will likely see the duo split the workload.

  • Kings' Jordan Spence: Hands out assist Saturday

Spence notched an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Spence snapped a six-game point drought with the helper. The 23-year-old saw 12:19 of ice time -- it's his second consecutive game in a reduced role, and that may not change if the Kings continue to dress seven defensemen, as Brandt Clarke will push for more than the 5:15 he saw in Saturday's contest. Spence has had flashes of success in his second full NHL campaign, racking up 18 points, 57 shots on net, 61 blocked shots, 54 hits and a plus-15 rating over 53 appearances despite mainly featuring in a bottom-four role.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Adds assist in win

Kopitar notched a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Kopitar set up a Kevin Fiala tally in the second period. With three points over his last four games, Kopitar's offense appears to be getting back on track after some rough patches in January. The 37-year-old center has occasionally seen reduced minutes -- he was at 17:20 of ice time Saturday, eighth among Los Angeles forwards. For the season, he's at 46 points (14 on the power play), 71 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating through 54 outings.

  • Kings' Joel Edmundson: Contributes two assists

Edmundson notched two assists, two shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Deuces were wild on Edmundson's stat line, though only the helpers were out of place compared to his usual production. He ended an 11-game point drought when he assisted on Drew Doughty's first-period marker. Edmundson also had a hand in Alex Laferriere's goal in the second. Edmundson is enjoying a fairly strong campaign with 13 points, 63 shots on net, 77 hits, 77 blocked shots and a plus-18 rating through 50 appearances. He's reached the 20-point mark just once in his 10-year career, and while he may fall short of it again in 2024-25, he has displayed a level of performance near the high end of his abilities.

  • Kings' Phillip Danault: Dishes pair of assists in win

Danault recorded two assists, two shots on goal, three hits and three blocked shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Danault helped out on third-period tallies by Trevor Lewis and Mikey Anderson. With seven points over five contests in February, this is Danault's best month since November, and it's even more impressive given the two-week gap in the schedule for the 4 Nations Face-Off. While he hasn't been outstanding, Danault has earned 30 points (five goals, 25 helpers) with 80 shots on net, 59 hits, 52 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 53 games this season. If his uptick in offense is here to stay, he needs to be on most fantasy rosters -- he's reached the 50-point mark three times in his career and could achieve that total in 2024-25 with a strong finish.

  • Kings' Mikey Anderson: Deposits empty-netter in return

Anderson scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Anderson missed four games due to a finger injury. The absence would have been longer had it not been for the two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 25-year-old was a little limited in his return with 21:19 of ice time, but he's still firmly in a top-four spot due to his defensive excellence. For the season, he has 15 points, including a career-high six goals, and he's added 60 shots on net, 71 hits, 85 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 50 appearances. His tally snapped a seven-game point drought.

  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Snaps slump with goal in home state

Lewis scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Lewis, a native of Salt Lake City, scored in his hometown in his first regular-season game there. It ended a 22-game point drought, and it was his first tally since his two-goal effort versus the Wild on Nov. 5. The Kings have often opted to dress just 11 forwards, but that has been a way for their top players to get more time -- a fourth-liner like Lewis remains fairly limited in terms of minutes. He has eight points, 37 shots on net, 71 hits and a minus-1 rating over 42 appearances this season. Still, a hometown goal will have sentimental value for the 38-year-old.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Nets go-ahead tally

Laferriere scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Laferriere's goal at 16:10 of the second period gave the Kings the lead for the first time in the game. The 23-year-old winger has two goals and a helper over five outings in February and continues to make a decent impact from a third-line role. For the season, he's up to 15 goals, 31 points, 122 shots on net, 85 hits and a plus-16 rating over 50 appearances. There's been no sophomore slump for Laferriere, who blends scoring and physicality into a fantasy-friendly production level in a balanced offensive lineup.

  • Kings' Kevin Fiala: Stays hot Saturday

Fiala scored a power-play goal on three shots and added an assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Fiala earned his fourth multi-point effort over five contests in February. The 28-year-old doesn't look to have slowed down after a two-week break in the schedule, and he's playing big minutes, especially with the Kings taking another look at dressing seven defensemen in Saturday's game. For the season, Fiala has 22 goals, 15 helpers, 14 power-play points, 159 shots on net and a minus-7 rating through 53 appearances.

  • Kings' Drew Doughty: Three points in win

Doughty scored a goal, dished two assists, added two PIM, logged three hits, blocked four shots and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Doughty did a bit of everything in his best game of the season, which also saw him play a season-low 21:40. The 35-year-old is no stranger to heavy workloads, but the Kings may get more out of him with fewer minutes, especially since the team is deep on defense and finally fully healthy at that position following the return of Mikey Anderson (finger). Doughty is up to four points, 12 shots on net, 10 hits, 13 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-2 rating across seven NHL appearances, and he also played with Team Canada during the 4 Nations Face-Off, so he should be back in a regular rhythm.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Overcomes opposing hat trick

Kuemper stopped 25 of 28 shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.

Kuemper gave up a goal in each period to Barrett Hayton, but the Kings' offense was just a bit stronger overall. This was Kuemper's third straight win to begin February after he went a pedestrian 5-4-1 in January. For the season, the 34-year-old netminder is up to 17-6-6 with a 2.22 GAA and a .917 save percentage across 30 starts. The Kings host the Golden Knights on Monday, which could be another starting opportunity for Kuemper, who has typically handled the workload of a No. 1 goalie when healthy this season.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Tending twine

Kuemper (personal) will guard the home goal versus Utah on Saturday.

Kuemper had an early start to the 4 Nations Face-Off break after missing a Feb. 8 game versus the Ducks. He's ready to return to the crease against Utah, a team he beat 3-2 with a 24-save performance Oct. 26. Kuemper is 7-4-1 with a 1.85 GAA and a .932 save percentage since the start of January, so he's a strong fantasy option.

  • Kings' Mikey Anderson: Set to return Saturday

Anderson (finger) is expected to be activated from injured reserve in time to play Saturday versus Utah, Eric Stephens of The Athletic reports.

Anderson missed four games before the 4 Nations Face-Off due to a finger injury, but the break appears to have helped mitigate the length of his absence. The 25-year-old blueliner figures to take on top-four minutes in a shutdown role going forward. He could challenge for a career year -- he's at 14 points through 49 outings, putting him six points shy of matching his career-high total from 2022-23.

  • Kings' Liam Greentree: Red hot in Windsor

Greentree has 11 points in his last five games with OHL Windsor.

Greentree continues to score prolifically this season, tallying 37 goals and 91 points, good for second-most in the OHL, through 52 games. The 6-foot-3 Greentree, a first-round pick of the Kings in 2024, continues to see his stock rise as he looks ready to transition to the professional ranks.

  • Kings' Adrian Kempe: Goal-scorer's goal at 4 Nations

Kempe scored a goal Wednesday in a 4-3 overtime loss to Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Kempe, who leads the Kings with 46 points this season, got the puck from Erik Karlsson, who had rushed the puck up the ice before sliding it through to Canadian players to break the Kings' forward loose. Kempe ripped it from between the circles past Jordan Binnington to make it 3-2 just 1:54 into the third period.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Returns to AHL

Copley was assigned to AHL Ontario on Sunday.

Copley was David Rittich's backup in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to Anaheim. Since Copley was with the Kings on an emergency basis, his demotion probably means that Darcy Kuemper (personal) will be available to return after the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

  • Kings' Andreas Englund: Lands on waivers

Englund was put on waivers Sunday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Englund has been a healthy scratch for 13 straight games and might benefit from seeing some playing time in the minors if he clears waivers. He has generated one goal, four shots on net, seven blocked shots and 20 hits in 11 appearances this season.
